Azure Blueprint #1
Deploy your Flexible WordPress Server
In this Blueprint training track, you will get a step-by-step introduction for installing a complete WordPress infrastructure that is available via Microsoft Azure.
WordPress is an open source content management system for building responsive and (mobile aware) web sites. It is user-friendly and supports multiple templates to create your own design without the need to script or program.
WordPress runs on several platforms and supports almost any web service and database, in this training we will use the standard LAMP stack, which means that WordPress runs on the Linux Operating System (OS), using the Apache web service, the MySQL database and PHP as programming language.
A WordPress site could be the first experience for a customer moving servers to the cloud. Instead of creating a public facing webserver with WordPress, you can create an intranet-based WordPress server that is only available from your customers private LAN.
Azure Blueprint #2
Install Flexible Storage at a Competitive Price
In this Blueprint training track, you will get a step-by-step introduction for installing a complete Acronis Backup infrastructure that is available via Microsoft Azure.
Acronis Backup is an Azure certified backup and restore solution. It can be installed on-premises or offered as cloud solution. In this blueprint, we will install the Acronis Storage Gateway on a Linux guest operating system hosted on a Microsoft Azure virtual machine.
Acronis Backup Cloud equips you to quickly solve customers’ data protection problems with a proven, comprehensive, hybrid backup and recovery service that protects your servers and workstations. You manage your backups and restores with the Acronis Backup Cloud management console, hosted at Acronis.
As a reseller, you now have an additional proposition to sell to your customers. With Acronis on Azure, you can offer your customers a pay-as-you-go scalable backup solution that can follow your customers’ growth.
Azure Blueprint #3
Remote Desktop Services
In this Blueprint training track, you will get a step-by-step introduction for installing a Remote Desktop Services infrastructure that is available via Microsoft Azure.
Take control of a remote computer or virtual machine over a network connection. Remote Desktop Services enables a rich-fidelity desktop or application experience, and helps to securely connect remote users from managed or unmanaged devices.
This environment can be used as the replacement of the Microsoft Small Business Server. The proposed solution uses the principles of a virtual desktop workplace. Each Remote Desktop Server (RDS Server) can be configured with a specific custom application (e.g. Office 365, Financial Software, E-Mail, etc.).
When you have finished this extensive training, you have successfully installed two servers as domain controller, three servers as Remote Desktop Session hosts and one virtual server for RDS licensing. All servers run Window Server 2016 Datacenter Edition.
Azure Blueprint #4
Multifunctional Network Protection powered by Barracuda
In this Blueprint training track, you will get a step-by-step introduction for installing the Barracuda NG Firewall Services that are available via Microsoft Azure.
The Barracuda NG Firewall fills the functional gaps between cloud infrastructure security and a defense-in-depth strategy by providing protection where the application and data reside, rather than solely where the connection terminates.
With Barracuda via Azure, you can offer your customers a pay-as-you-go security solution. In this Blueprint training course, you will install and configure a Barracuda appliance on a Microsoft Azure virtual machine.
Create a firewall that protects the DMZ and network of your customer or use this Blueprint to create a firewall that in its turn can protect the Remote Desktop Services you created in the previous Blueprint.
Instead of moving just the software into the cloud, we are moving the actual equipment/ infrastructure to the cloud when we are referring to Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS). Basically, we are moving the racks of server equipment into the cloud and letting somebody else deal with their basic functioning.
Where you used to buy the actual physical hardware, you now no longer have to buy that piece of infrastructure because that can be hosted somewhere else. So instead of buying a big piece of hardware that requires maintenance and space, you can simply connect to a service that is sitting in the infrastructure of cloud. You can rent servers in the cloud that reside in the datacenter, you pay per month and you can get full control over them.
The beauty of it is that you will get the service of the infrastructure, while somebody else owns the server, services and its maintenance.
